Corda Arena
Since the summer of 2023, I have been part of the developing and research team at Corda Arena, Europe’s pioneering event venue set to debut in 2026. Corda Arena is designed to host up to 4,000 attendees onsite and millions virtually, seamlessly merging cutting-edge technology with human interaction to create unforgettable, immersive experiences.
In my role, I focus on concept development, testing new technologies like hologram spinners and holoboxes, and collaborating with other companies to integrate these innovations into the arena. I am responsible for both the 3D design and graphic design of Corda Arena.
Additionally, I have developed the virtual Corda Arena, an interactive environment where users can attend and engage in events via VR and PC. This virtual arena is a key part of the Corda Arena ecosystem, enhancing our ability to deliver immersive and memorable experiences in both physical and digital spaces.
Virtual Reality
For Corda Arena, I developed a virtual reality environment using VRChat, where users could gather, interact, and communicate. This space is an experimental platform to explore the potential of virtual spaces for community engagement at Corda. One of our key experiments was a hybrid DJ set performed by Laura Hoogland, who played both virtually and physically, allowing audiences to experience the event in both spaces simultaneously. This project was co-developed by Ine Vanoeveren and me for the AI Leap Day event hosted by Hogeschool PXL.
